The love story of Ethel and Norman, returning to Golden Pond for the forty-eighth year. Some liken it to "Brigadoon," the mythical town that reawakens once every hundred years. But in Mount Gretna, it is an annual miracle. Every year, during the third weekend of August, this community of some 700 homes and cottages suddenly springs to life, welcoming 285 artists chosen through juried competition and 20,000 visitors who—by their presence—acknowledge the role that art plays in their homes, hearts, and lives. Show your patriotism and pride in America. Attend the American Spirit Parade. The philosophy of the parade is to honor all First Responders: Military, Police, Firefighters and EMTs. Let them know they have the support of the American people. The parade steps off at Lime & Orange Street, with the reviewing stand at Buchanan Park. 1:00 pm. Clint Black attracts fans of both traditional country singer/songwriters, as well as those with more contemporary country tastes. One of the most popular country artists to emerge out of the 1990s, Clint Black continues to be a crowd pleaser with his traditional country roots and popular appeal. His first single. “A Better Man,” shot to the top of the charts, making him the first new male country artist to debut at number one in 15 years. Black has toured and duetted with Wynonna ("A Bad Goodbye"), and has performed in the Grand Ole Opry.
