years at hard labor. When he’s finally released, desperation leads him to steal again, but eventually the forgiveness
of one man leads Valjean on the road to redemption. Still, the dogged Detective Javert cannot forgive him his relapse
and vows to bring Valjean to justice. Spanning a period of 17 years, Valjean and Javert play a never-ending game
of cat and mouse that eventually takes a painful toll on both men. Meanwhile, their lives weave in and out of those
of a destitute Paris on the brink of revolution.

Tchaikovsky's Waltz of the Flowers celebrates the floral beauty for which Longwood is known worldwide. The Stars
and Stripes Forever honors the friendship between Pierre du Pont and John Philip Sousa, who conducted 14 concerts
at Longwood between 1922 and 1930. The finale is the monumental last movement of Saint-Saens' 'Organ' Symphony
No. 3, saluting Mr. du Pont's creation at Longwood of one of the world's great pipe organs. 9:15 pm.
