Thru July 5 - Les Misérables - Fulton Opera, 12 N. Prince St., Lancaster, PA. 717-397-7425. Based on Victor Hugo’s famous novel, the international sensation Les Misérables tells the story of one man striving for a better future and another who can’t let go of the past. As a young man, Jean Valjean was caught stealing a loaf of bread for his starving family and spent the next 19 years at hard labor. When he’s finally released, desperation leads him to steal again, but eventually the forgiveness of one man leads Valjean on the road to redemption. Still, the dogged Detective Javert cannot forgive him his relapse and vows to bring Valjean to justice. Spanning a period of 17 years, Valjean and Javert play a never-ending game of cat and mouse that eventually takes a painful toll on both men. Meanwhile, their lives weave in and out of those of a destitute Paris on the brink of revolution.

You can hear the rain as Don Lockwood splashes around in the puddles with his umbrella in this classic MGM musical. Song standouts are Good Mornin', Make 'Em Laugh, You Are My Lucky Star, All I Do Is Dream Of You, and of course Singin' in the Rain.

Thru July 25 - Amish Vows in Paradise - Freedom Chapel Dinner Theatre,15 North Bridge Street, P.O. Box 63, Christiana, PA 17509, 610-593-7013. You are invited to the wedding of Rachel and Jacob. The King family will warm your heart. You will feel like you are peeking into the window of their home and are privileged to hear what is happening. Share the families humor, joy and sorrow. Amish prayers and chants included in the Amish Wedding ceremony. This show traveled to Madrid, Spain in 2007 and will go to Canada this August for 21 sold out shows.

Thru Aug. 1 - There Goes The Bride - Rainbow Dinner Theatre, Route 30, Paradise, PA 17562, 800-292-4301. Join us for the wedding of the year! As a socially prominent family prepares to wed their daughter to the son of an equally upper-crust set of in-laws to be, what's the worst that could happen? You can't even imagine! After an unexpected whack on the head, the father of the bride begins seeing a 1920's flapper, unfortunately no one else can! This makes the new in-laws very nervous and when the bride lets slip that she is already acquainted with the birds and the bees, the wedding is almost called off. Thru Aug. 8 - Route 66 Revisited -

It all started in the dustbowl of the American South, in jukejoints and roadhouses along the stretches of highway that link our nation. This show traces the history of America’s music, from Memphis to San Francisco and everywhere in between. We’ll explore the Georgia soul of Brother Ray, the California harmonies of The Eagles, and the Jersey rock n’ roll of The Boss. From the Man in Black to Mellencamp, it’s all branches on the same musical tree. We’ll revisit the artists of Woodstock, and travel back in time to Newport when Dylan plugged in and a new sound was born. With the best music from the classic artists that defined the landscape of American culture, Route 66 Revisited is a musical journey you’ll never forget!

Thru Sept. 19 - Abraham Sarah - Sight & Sound Living Waters Theatre
, Rt. 896, Strasburg, PA. 717-687-7800. They didn't always understand God's plan, but they came to understand that He does always keep his promises - in His time. Thru Oct. 15 - Main Fountain Garden - Longwood Gardens, US Route 1, Kennett Square, PA 19348, 610-388-1000. The fountains run continuously throughout the day, from 9:00 am to gardens close. Five-minute shows delight visitors at 12:00, 2:00 and 4:00 pm.

Thru Oct. 15 - Italian Water Garden - Longwood Gardens, US Route 1, Kennett Square, PA 19348, 610-388-1000. Pruned littleleaf linden trees, clipped ivy and green lawns surround six large and 12 small blue-tiled pools with 600 jets of water and a water staircase that recirculate 4,500 gallons of water each minute. This fountain garden runs continuously from 9:00 am to 5:45 pm.

Thru Oct. 17 - In the Beginning - Sight & Sound Millennium Theatre
, Rt. 896, Strasburg, PA. 717-687-7800. In a spectacular staging of the biblical account of creation, Sight & Sound opens the original production, In the Beginning. Be there as the Garden of Eden appears before you - the waters, vegetation, and animals of the newly created world enveloping the Millennium Theatre! Thru May 2010 - Sense of Time Special Exhibit Opens - National Watch & Clock Museum, 514 Poplar St., Columbia, PA 17512, 717-684-8261 ext.237. Exhibit explores the ancient measurement devices of Asian Fire Clocks.

In this Mel Brooks classic, Dr. Frankenstein's grandson, after years of living down the family reputation, inherits granddad's castle and repeats the experiments. July 4 - Fireworks and Fountains: Founder's Favorites -
Longwood Gardens, US Route 1, Kennett Square, PA 19348, 610-388-1000. This show salutes Longwood founder, Pierre S. du Pont, beginning with one of his all-time favorites, Victor Herbert's patriotic American Fantasia. Next, an orchestral arrangement of O mio babbino caro from Gianni Schicchi by Puccini recalls Mr. du Pont's love of opera... and for operetta with Victor Herbert's March of the Toys from Babes in Toyland. Tchaikovsky's Waltz of the Flowers celebrates the floral beauty for which Longwood is known worldwide. The Stars and Stripes Forever honors the friendship between Pierre du Pont and John Philip Sousa, who conducted 14 concerts at Longwood between 1922 and 1930. The finale is the monumental last movement of Saint-Saens' 'Organ' Symphony No. 3, saluting Mr. du Pont's creation at Longwood of one of the world's great pipe organs. 9:15 pm.

July 4 - Uptown Band (rich variety, Motown to present) - Nissley Vineyards & Winery Estate

July 5 - Julianne Hough & Jason Michael Carroll - American Music Theatre, 2425 Lincoln Hwy. E. (Rt. 30), Lancaster, PA 17602, 717-397-7700, 800-648-4102. AMT welcomes country artist Julianne Hough to its stage. A triple threat as a singer, actress and dancer, Julianne is already known to millions of fans as the two-time professional dance champion on ABC-TV’s top-rated Dancing with the Stars. The show, which pairs professional dancers with music, sports, film and television celebrities, has become a cultural phenomenon and Julianne its top star. Also appearing is hot new country artist Jason Michael Carroll. Carroll’s career began when he won a karaoke contest sponsored by a pop radio station and was promptly hired by a country band losing its singer. Eventually, Carroll signed a record deal with Arista Nashville and released his first single, "Alyssa Lies," in late 2006. This is sure to be a fun night with two of country music’s top new talents!

A 1947 film is one of four Road films starring Bing Crosby, Bob Hope and Dorothy Lamour. Lititz, PA. Historic Downtown Lititz is bursting with energy every 2nd Friday of the month. Each month Downtown Merchants are happy to announce great family activities and entertainments, free and open to the public, in stores and venues throughout the downtown shopping area. Share your flowers with the residents at Moravian Manor, All you have to do is harvest a few flowers from your garden and drop them off at Moravian Manor on Friday, July 10 between noon and 3:00 p.m. or on Saturday, July 11 between 8:00 a.m. and 10:00am The fresh cut flowers will be arranged and placed into small vases which will be distributed to each Manor resident. Don’t have a flower garden? Stop by your local florist and purchase a small bunch.

The Courtyard stars the Farm Animal Center, interactive displays, and great rides like the Farm Pedal Tracks, Farm Tour Wagon Ride, and the Cherry Crest Express. The Barnyard, a hillside of fun things to see and do - from our Singing Chicken Show to the Giant Hay Chute Slide, Pumpkin Slinger and Lil' Farmers Play Land. And of course our main attraction, The Amazing Maize Maze™ our ginormous corn maze!

July 13 - Josh Turner - American Music Theatre, 2425 Lincoln Hwy. E. (Rt. 30), Lancaster, PA 17602, 717-397-7700, 800-648-4102. For the last several years, Josh Turner has been quietly ascending the path to country music superstardom. Two of his singles—"Your Man" and "Would You Go With Me"—were multi-week number one hits, and his song “Firecracker,” is an infectious radio smash. This 1947 film starred Claudette Colbert and Fred Mac Murray. Story of the adventures of young couple on a farm. This comedy was such a hit with audiences, it spawned the Ma and Pa Kettle film series. On May 5, 1947 Colbert and MacMurray starred in radio version of this film that was broadcast on the Lux Radio Theatre. 7:30 pm.
